Illinois Summer EBT Program
Summer EBT, or SUN Bucks, is a nutrition program authorized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Summer EBT for 2025 will provide a $120 annual benefit to eligible children via an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) issuance by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). This program is only for children who qualify (SNAP, TANF, Free and Reduced Lunch). Visit website for full details.

Free Summer Meals for children 18 and under (open to all)
Healthy and nutritious summer meals are available for children 18 and under when school is out. To find a site close to you, call 800-359-2163 or visit WeGotYouIllinois.org. This program provides meals at various locations throughout the state and there is no income eligibility requirements to participate.
