The Voice and Vibe Club made friendship bracelets at a recent meeting. This is a new club at WMS. The students select the types of activities they want to do, and Ms. Monterroso helps make it happen! #LifeintheW

Woodland Wildcats had a very special visitor today — Matt Eicheldinger! The author of Sticky Notes, storyteller, influencer, and former middle school teacher joined our 8th Grade Advanced Language Arts students via Zoom for an inspiring conversation. Our students were able to ask questions about writing, storytelling, and his journey as an author.
Thank you, Matt Eicheldinger - Author, for taking the time to connect with our students and share your story!
And a big shout-out to Mr. Golwitzer and Ms. Motley for bringing this meaningful experience to life for our Wildcats.

WMS built a beautiful ofrenda with built-in learning activities and QR codes that students can use to learn more about Día de los Muertos. This display helps promote cultural awareness and celebrate the meaning behind Día de los Muertos - a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. Teachers were invited to bring their students to the LRC for this supplemental learning opportunity. Here are a few photos from Ms. Levin, Ms. Rumi, and Ms. Bernick's classes visiting the ofrenda. Thank you to Ms. Castrejón for inviting us to stop by!

Celebrating Healthy Choices During Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 23 - 31, 2025. This years theme is "Life Is A Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free".
Red Ribbon Week is a time when students learn about personal health and wellness and are encouraged to make healthy choices! Each of our schools will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week with age-appropriate activities, spirit days, and presentations on what it means to be healthy and how to live a healthy life.
In these pictures you can see WMS students in National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and Students of Service (SOS) working on Red Ribbon Week posters with Det. Hansen & Det. Gullifor.

Hidden Gem Alert! 💎📣🚨
Have you heard of Woodland's Saturday Study Hall and Homework Help program? On Saturday mornings, all Wildcats have access to FREE tutoring and mentorship. Students can work one-on-one with Woodland teachers, or in small groups with their peers to complete homework, study for a test, get help on a project, have someone proofread their paper, practice speaking Spanish, work through a math concept that is giving them trouble, play educational games, and whatever else your Wildcat needs!
Some students come every week because this has become such a beneficial part of their routine, and some Wildcats only come when they need a quiet place to work on extra homework or study. Some of our students sign up when their parents can't help them with a certain subject, and some have joined us on Saturday morning when they are trying to catch up after missing a few days of school. Whatever the reason, everyone is welcome!

AWS (Amazon Web Services) is currently experiencing an outage, which may be affecting the functionality of the app, BusWhere.
We recommend that students arrive at the bus stop at least 5–10 minutes before their scheduled time and not rely solely on the app for updates, as noted in the student handbook and Transportation's webpage.
Thank you!
