Wildcat Summer Adventures are bringing our students together! Ms. Horques’ 4th grade Dual Language class recently visited Ms. Matienzo’s Kindergarten classroom to share stories with our youngest Wildcats. The 4th graders were thrilled to be storytellers, and the Kindergarteners loved spending time with the big kids!

Wildcat Summer Adventures: Boat Float Challenge! 🛥
Our Wildcats got creative and put their engineering skills to the test by building boats out of tin foil, popsicle sticks, and pipe cleaners. The catch? They needed to be tested to see if they could float... while holding ten pennies!

Before the school year ended, Ms. Wilinski fixed, cleaned, and operated an old cotton candy machine at Elementary to surprise teacher with a special treat! Things did get a bit sticky but the smiles made it worth it 💚🍭




Congratulations to Lavonna Garner and Tanya Abbey for winning a Distinguished Service Award from INSPRA! The Distinguished Service Celebration recognizes individuals and groups throughout the state who partner with their school communications office to serve as ambassadors for public education and champions of students and staff.
Ms. Abbey and Ms. Garner are tireless in their efforts to spread the word about the Parent Mentor Program and all of the ways our Parent Mentors contribute to #LifeintheW. Congratulations once again and thank you all for your support of Woodland—you make a huge difference in our learning community!

Our final BPAC meeting of the 2024–2025 school year was held last week, and it was a fantastic way to close out the year! Families listened to a presentation from Nicasa, and heard from guest speaker Dr. Moran of WTHS. We also introduced Ms. Yamilette Sosa, Woodlands’ new Director of Language Acquisition to our BPAC families.
A big thank you goes out to Gabriela Navarro Díaz, our dedicated Middle School NJHS volunteers, and Tobias the comfort dog for all their support. Most of all, thank you to our amazing BPAC families. Your energy, engagement, and commitment have made this year unforgettable.
