Welcome to Our Strategic Planning Web Pageboy looking at road map

Following a comprehensive six-month process, the Board of Education in February 2018 approved a new strategic plan that will guide Woodland through 2023.

A strategic plan is designed to serve as a road map for achieving student success throughout all district operations. The mission and vision, the goals and the initiatives are all designed to focus our energy and drive a common sense of direction.

We are appreciative of the students, staff and community members who took advantage of the opportunities for community input in creating the plan. More than 1,000 individuals participated in a community survey, 65 stakeholders participated in focus groups, and our community engagement committee included more than 90 participants, 15 of whom were students.

Following the Board of Education creating the mission and vision statements, discussions centered around five areas: student learning, student well-being, staff recruitment and development, finance and facilities, and community relations and district pride. From there, the goals and initiatives were developed.

We deeply appreciate the time and ideas provided by volunteers of the Community Engagement Committee.
