  • Donations or Gifts to the District

    The Woodland D50 Board of Education has accepted the following donations from supporters and businesses in the community during the 2022-2023 school year. The donations are in accordance with Board Policy 8:80 - Gifts to the District. The district is appreciative of the generous donations that support all of our children’s programs.

     

    April 2023

    • Primary:
      • The American Heart Association donated $350 to be used for the PE curriculum.
      • Mission BBQ donated five free sandwich cards with a value of approximately $50 to be used for the WELE Come and Connect Open House at WNPL.
      • Starbucks donated products valuing approximately $270 to be used for the WELE Come and Connect Open House at WNPL.
    • Elementary: The district is in receipt of a donation from Abbvie; Blackbaud Giving Fund in the amount of $1,600 to be used for student supplies.

    • Intermediate: The district is in receipt of a donation from Abbvie; Blackbaud Giving Fund in the amount of $240 to be used for student supplies.

    The total donation for April 2023 is $2,465. That brings the total donation amount for the 2022-2023 school year to $16,680.07 to date. 

     

    February 2023

    • Elementary - The Blackbaud Giving Fund donated $10 to be used for student supplies.

    The total donation for February 2023 is $10. That brings the total donation amount for the 2022-2023 school year to $14,215.07 to date.


    January 2023

    • Primary - American Outfitters donated $377.50 to be used for student supplies.
    • Elementary - The Blackbaud Giving Fund donated $10 to be used for student supplies
    • Intermediate - Coca-Cola Give donated $29.33 to be used for student supplies.
    • Middle - ElderCARE of Lake County donated $50 to be used for the Middle School Student Leadership Club.

    The total donation for January 2023 is $466.83. That brings the total donation amount for the 2022-2023 school year to $14,205.07 to date.

     

    December 2022

    • Primary - Mothers Trust Foundation donated $154.00 to cover the cost of the State of Illinois license sticker for a student's guardian. Caring 4 Kids donated to pairs of shoes, snow pants, and snow boots for two Woodland Primary students.
    • Intermediate - The Blackbund Giving Fund donated $10 to be used for student supplies.
    • District - Community organizations, partners, and other Woodland stakeholders donated $6,772.74 to the Holiday Food Drive. In addition to individual community members and staff, donations came from the Woodland PTA, Lake County Federation of Teachers, and St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

    The total donation for December 2022 is $6,936.74. That brings the total donation amount for the 2022-2023 school year to $13,738.24 to date. 


    November 2022

    • Middle - The Middle School received a $100 donation from Kelly and Glenn McBlane to be used for the Middle School Drama Club.

    The total donation for November 2022 is $100. That brings the total donation amount for the 2022-2023 school year to $6,801.50 to date.

     

    October 2022

    • Primary - McNeil/Beelow Farms donated pumpkins valued at $66, and Yarc Farms donated pumpkins and other materials for hayrides valued at $50, for the Welcome Roundup parent engagement event.
    • Elementary - The district received two $20 donations from the Abbvie Blackbaud Giving Fund to be used for student supplies.
    • Middle - The Middle School received a $6,500 donation from the Woodland PTA to be used for the 8th grade trip at the end of the school year.

    The total donation for October 2022 is $6,656.00. That brings the total donation amount for the 2022-2023 school year to $6,701.50 to date. 

     

    September 2022

    • Primary - Warren Newport Public Library donated books to be used as giveaways during WELE parent nights at a value of $9.50.

    The total donation for September 2022 is $9.50. That brings the total donation amount for the 2022-2023 school year to $45.50 to date.
