Mr. Tim Sheldon
Tim Sheldon is the current principal of Woodland District 50 Intermediate School.
He has more than 20 years of experience, including 12 with Chicago Public Schools, in education including serving as a teacher, an instructional coach, an assistant principal, a district administrator, and a school principal for 8 years prior to joining Woodland District 50. He has worked in both urban and suburban settings as a school principal prior to coming to Intermediate School.
Mr. Sheldon received a BA in History from Georgetown University and M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as an administrative endorsement, from Loyola University Chicago. He has also completed classes for his doctorate at National Louis University and is currently writing his dissertation. Mr. Sheldon recently completed a Chief School Business Officer certification program at Concordia University.
Principal Sheldon's wife, Maggie, is also an educator, serving as an administrator in a special education cooperative in the Chicago-area. He has one child, Eleanor, who he adores and spoils regularly. Principal Sheldon loves to read, play guitar, and spend time with his family, including his two dogs, Finley and Otis. Mr. Sheldon is committed to making sure that everyone in the school community- students, parents, staff, and community members- feel respected, valued, and supported.
