• Woodland District 50 will continue to follow the most recent Covid guidance from the CDC, IDPH and LCHD.

    • Students who exhibit SYMPTOMS should be kept home from school and should be tested for Covid. These symptoms include Fever (100.4°F or higher), new onset of moderate to severe persistent headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell. Students may return to school if testing is negative, symptoms are resolving and no fever, vomiting or diarrhea for >24 hours without medication. If symptoms persist, retesting is recommended 48 hours after the initial test.

    • Students who test POSITIVE for Covid either by an at home test or through SHIELD testing must isolate at home for 5 days from either the beginning of symptoms or from their positive result (if asymptomatic) regardless of their vaccination status. The first day of symptoms or testing is considered Day 0. Students may return to school on Day 6 if symptoms are resolving and no presence of fever, diarrhea or vomiting for >24 hours. Students should wear a mask at school and when around others for Days 6-10.

    • Students who may be CLOSE CONTACTS to individuals who have tested positive for Covid may continue to attend school regardless of vaccination status. Students should wear a mask for 10 days after their exposure and monitor for symptoms. Testing is recommended on Day 6 post exposure or if symptoms develop.

    • Testing is recommended via at home testing whenever symptoms are present. If your student has not been positive for Covid within the past 90 days testing may also be performed via lab based PCR testing.
