Woodland offers parents and community members many opportunities to volunteer. In addition to helping at a school or in the classroom, volunteers are always needed with our parent organizations (PTA, Friends of Woodland, Music Boosters) and at each school's Family School Partnership.

Parents who wish to volunteer in our schools are always welcome. All families, as part of the learning community, have a very beneficial impact on the education of Woodland students. While the involvement of community members during the school day is vital to the school's success, equally important is the safety of students.

This application is available by clicking the link below. Download and complete the application, print it out, and send it to your child's principal. (The application is also available in the Parent Student Handbook.) Each principal will then randomly determine applications to be submitted for the background check. Volunteer Opportunities:

• PTA - Click the PTA link in the left column for detailed information.
• Family School Partnerships - Each school has a Family School Partnership Committee (FSP) that consists of parents, teachers and administrators. The FSP works to enhance the education and the environment of the school. For more information about the FSP contact your child's principal.
• Friends of Woodland - The mission of the Friends of Woodland is to educate parents and the community on issues that concern Woodland School District and our students, and to represent and promote Woodland School District Interests.
• Music Boosters - The Music Booster Program seeks parent support and involvement. Contact Becky Saul, President, by phone at 847-855-2373 or by email at woodlandmusicboosters@yahoo.com for details.
• Eighth Grade Career Exploration - Students, parents, and families, the school, the school board and the community unite in the partnership of the learning community. Our Middle Schools integrate outside resources to enhance the learning experiences for our students. Watch for more information regarding this program.
