About Woodland PTA: The Woodland PTA provides classroom based programs such as Scholastic Reading Counts as well as Cultural Arts assemblies, classroom and library books and many other school and classroom needs. Kindergarten Kick-off, Winter Wonderland, Fun Fair and Sports Spectacular are some of the family events sponsored by the PTA. These programs and events are made possible through both our fundraising efforts, like Market Day, Book Fair, School Supply Packs, Book Sox and Spirit Wear and the dedication of all the PTA volunteers. The Woodland PTA at the local level is linked to the Illinois State PTA and National PTA, forming a nationwide network of members working on behalf of all children and youth. Each person is elected to serve for a one year term. Below are the Woodland PTA Officers for the 2009-2010 school year.
PTA Monthly Business Meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose room (upstairs above the main entrance) at Woodland Intermediate School (1115 North Hunt Club Road, Gurnee, IL) unless otherwise noted. PTA General Meetings - Public forums or General Meetings are held three times during the year, typically on the fourth Tuesday of the designated month at 7:00 in the Woodland Educational Support Center. These meetings are meant to provide information and to hear what the public has to say. Forums are the time to ask questions, engage in dialogue, and vote on PTA issues when needed.
