Frequently Asked Questions
What is required to be able to view Family Access?
All you need is Internet access along with your confidential login and password. Please note: Woodland School District does not support off-site technology or software applications. For computer or software problems, please consult your computer dealer, software vendor, or ISP (Internet Service Provider).
 
What should a person do if they don’t have Internet access?
The local library is an excellent resource for utilizing internet access. We will be looking for additional locations in the community.
 
What different Web Browsers will Family Access work with?
Windows® 98/NT/2000/XP: Internet Explorer® 5.5+
Macintosh® 8.1-9.X: Internet Explorer® 5.1.7
Macintosh® 10.3 or higher: Safari® 1.2
 
Is Family Access on a secure site?
Yes, it is.  Family Access uses Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encryption as the security layer for data presented on the web. 
 
Who can view my family information through Family Access?
Only the people who have your personal login and password. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you keep your login and password in a secure place.
 
What do I do if I’ve forgotten or lost my login and/or password?
Send an email to: accesshelp@dist50.net stating your request. A new login and/or password will be mailed to you.
 
Can I view information on all of my children?
Once you are logged into Family Access, use the Student Selection list that displays at the top of the screen to choose the child you would like to view.
 
Why isn’t a Food Service payment that I sent to the school today reflected in the “Current Balance” in the “Account Information” tab?
It takes 2-3 school days for the payment to be reflected in the “Current Balance”. We are working to improve this.
 
Can I view food service purchases from a previous week?
Go to the “Purchases” tab. Click the <Prev button. Click >Next to move forward.
 
Can I pay for Food Service or Registration Fees from the Family Access screen?
Not directly, but you can go back to the “Pay Online” link in the Woodland web site. Allow (3) school days for your payment to be processed.
 
Will we still receive weekly Food Service statements?
We are currently reviewing our options for the 2008-2009 school year. Please feel free to email us your opinion on this issue.
 
Can I email my child(ren)s teacher from Family Access?
Not at this time, however it will be available in the future.
 
Why isn’t my child(ren)s locker number and combination shown?
In the buildings that do have lockers, the building secretary maintains this information.
 
Why isn’t my name listed first in the Emergency Contact area?
The parents with whom the student lives are always contacted first. We will be updating this area to accurately reflect the calling order.
How do I contact the District when I have questions or have corrections to my family information?

How do I exit Family Access?
Click on the Logout button. When you get back to the Login screen, go to File/Close or click on the “X” in the upper right corner to close the window.
