Part-Time SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD

The Village of Gurnee Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of Part-time School Crossing Guard at Woodland Middle School (Washington Street and Almond Road). 

The hours of work are generally from 2:15 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. Monday through Friday during the regular school year.  Schedule may vary depending on school schedule changes (holidays; early release; snow days, etc.). 

Additional hours are also possible to work as needed in the mornings at other locations throughout the Village in the event of sickness or other time off for regular crossing guards.

Rate of pay is $14.00 / hour.  No prior experience is necessary.  Paid training and safety equipment is provided by the Police Department.  Must be able to pass a background check and have no restrictions in working with children.

Work is performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including exposure to rain, wind, snow, hot and cold temperatures and involves working around motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
