Vision Statement:
Woodland creates an environment that inspires and develops all members to be self-directed critical thinkers, successful learners, and responsible citizens interacting in a global society.

Strategic Initiatives:

Student Learning Goals:
By 2008-2009, Woodland will be attain high growth of students achieving targets as defined by NWEA and Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment in grades 2-8 in both mathematics and reading.

By 2008-2009, Woodland will implement research-based early-intervening initiatives raising reading achievement to 92.5% of students meeting or exceeding standards on the 2012 3rd grade ISAT with progress monitored through annual assessments.

 
Finance Goal:
By June 2010, Woodland shall manage revenues and expenses in order to maintain fund balance targets to support the District’s mission.
 
Internal Community Goal:
By June 2010, climate indicators supporting student achievement, such as, valuing and respecting every staff member, shared-decision making and open communication, will be at 90% or better for all Woodland schools.
 
External Community Goal:
By 2011-2012, Woodland will increase community engagement in school district quality and achievements and enhance a sense of pride in the district as indicated through a variety of measurements.
