Transportation Parent Meeting

Dear Parents,

We wanted to take a moment to thank those of you who took the time to attend the September 2 meeting regarding transportation and the recent bus stop changes. We have been most appreciative of the feedback we’ve received to date.

On Friday, September 11, 2009 a copy of the minutes will be mailed home to those that we had a record who confirmed attendance at the meeting. Included with the minutes will be a brief one-page survey about the meeting. Minutes from the meeting will be posted on the website by Monday, September 14.

At this time, those of you who submitted a request or concern to the Transportation Department should have received a response. If you have not, please contact Jennifer Tempest Bova with the Public Information Department. She may be reached at jbova@dist50.net or at (847) 596-5604.

Transportation requests and/or concerns that were received at the bus stop meeting on September 2nd are in the process of being reviewed. Parents will be contacted on or before Thursday, September 17, 2009 regarding the status of the concern/request.

As a next step, the district is in the process of developing a survey for all families in order to gather feedback regarding the bus stops changes that were implemented this year.

We will continue to do our best to maintain open and honest communications with our families during this time.
