Woodland School District 50 has managed to keep pace financially with the district's enrollment growth and facility needs while maintaining approximately the same tax rate for the last seven years. Commitment to a secure financial position is evidenced in the district's focus on budget analysis and goal of shifting dollars into educational programs. Woodland District 50 is pledged to long-term financial stability, while maintaining educational excellence and a safe learning environment.
The Board and the district are accountable to the public for fiscal responsibility. As such, a Financial Review Committee composed of staff, parents, and community members was formed during the 2005-06 School Year to evaluate and review all district programs and budgets for potential cost savings.
