Dear Woodland School District Staff Member:

The Woodland Educational Foundation is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for its Staff Grant Program.  Since its incorporation in 2006, the primary mission of the WEF has been:

  • To creatively generate and distribute resources with which to enrich and enhance the opportunities of educational experiences of Woodland Community Consolidated School District 50 students.

Over the last few years, the Foundation has generated thousands of dollars to support staff and students in carrying out its mission through the Staff Grant Program.  The purpose of Staff Grants is to provide the supplemental resources needed for staff to implement innovative projects that enhance the educational experience of Woodland School District 50 students.  Specifically, awarding Staff Grants supports the Foundation’s purpose by:

  • Enriching the curriculum of the District, and providing innovative academic and extra-curricular learning opportunities for the District’s children.
  • Providing students with opportunities they would not otherwise be privileged to experience.
  • Assisting in maintaining at the District the highest standards for programs, resources, and facilities.

Grants will be divided into two categories: up to $1000 and over $1000.  Any staff interested in applying for a Staff Grant should do so using the Staff Grant Application form, and adhere to the Staff Grants – Guidelines and Procedures.  Important dates to note are as follows:

  • June 1, 2010:                                      Information disbursed to all staff
  • October 14, 2010:                               Staff Grant applications due
